Slender, wedge shaped bugs with toxic saliva. These bugs over winter in debris, so remove garden trash after harvest. Can transfer disease from plant to plant. Damage may include white specks, yellowing, leaf curl, stunting and distortion. Natural predators of leaf hoppers are: lady bugs, lacewings, minute pirate bugs.

Start by spraying away bugs with high power water.  Treat plants with insecticidal soap and diatomaceous earth.  Boneide’s Eight Insect Control is a good option.
