Gerbera Daisy or African Daisy
-
Gerbera jamesonii

Gerbera daisies are a fun and unique annual. Large flowers with narrow petals grow on a leafless stem rising about 6 inches above its foliage. Regular pruning and deadheading will make a significant difference in keeping the plant blooming and looking good. These make great cut flowers in a vase or in an arrangement as they last quite awhile. Plant in well drained, moist soil.
