This plant tolerates drought and will grow well in moist to dry soil.  Suitable soil is well drained or sandy.  These woody plants bloom slowly starting in July and fully bloom in August into a bright blue and purple.  Full sunshine is a requirement to produce blooms.  Once established they require very little water and withstand high heat.
