Valiant Grape
-
Vitis labrusca 'Valiant'

This is a hardy grape vine for cooler climates.  Fruit ripens faster than other grapes.  This is a climbing vine that can become heavy as it matures, so train to grow on a sturdy trellis.  Planting in full sun produces the most fruit.  Fruit can become overbearing, and some clusters may need to be removed.  Vines should start producing grapes about a year after planting and will be ready late summer to early fall.
